Local moving is considered moving with in a 100 mile radius. A-Z Moving and Storage is licensed to help local and long distance moves. Our movers have many years of experience in this field. We have helped our neighbors with local relocations, which are charged hourly. The hourly rate depends on the size of the move. The specialist will decide what size team and the proper size truck. Our movers are trained to protect furniture with moving pads and if necessary they can help customers with:

• Packing and unpacking,
• Crating large fragile articles that don't fit in regular boxes (in some cases wood crate is required),

Keep in mind that those customers that are on the budget - the more preparation is done prior to movers arriving the less time it will take for relocation. We recommend to have professional movers pack and protect fragile and valuable articles. Movers will bring all necessary equipment and materials to handle it. If you have article that may require special handling, let us know so we are not surprised and unprepared to effervescently do our job.

Our movers go through a tough hiring process. They need to be experienced, have clean record and have positive references preferably from clients or our friends and family.

Our fleet of trucks is well maintained and has different trucks to accommodate special moves. There are places in Calabasas in anywhere in Los Angeles suburban hills, where a normal size trucks will not make it close enough to the residence: winy narrow roads, untrimmed treas with wide low benches, steep hills, etc. 

Our office staff has best estimators. Estimators come out to do onsite quotes. They use special forms that have "Table of Measurements" for each item in the household. After taking detailed inventory of all items, assessing the geographical area at pick up and delivery they will provide customers with accurate and quick quotes that they will stand by. Unless new services are required during the move, our estimators are with in 10% of the actual time it takes.

Please note: Factors that may effect this chart include: stairs, elevators, long carry, distance between new and old residences, double drive time, packing services and your own unique size/amount of belongings.
